Yesterday I planned to go out and get some late afternoon shots of the local lagoon. I took this shot of the dog just before walking out the door. When I got back and went through all the shots I had taken of the lagoon. This was the only shot on the card worth keeping. May try again today, but currently I think the clouds may ruin any sunset colours.
I have added a new KimKard to the range. The pack now contains ten cards instead of nine but still the same low price. The picture comes from a trip out to Middle Springs today, may put one of the others up in the landscape section.
The Kununurra Visitor Centre (KVC) is now stocking KimKards, good to see a small local business supported. Thanks to Nadia Donnelly for the opportunity.
Because the beginning of the year has been so hectic I have not been able to get the camera out of the bag for some "me" time out in the fresh air. The only pictures I have taken are with the old E620 of each of my students for our classroom wall, even reverted to the onboard flash. With any luck things will ease up and I will be out and about soon.
I have been busy organising business type equipment. I now have 500 business cards, produced by Dark Horse printing, fantastic job by them. It did require a bit of emailing back and forwards with the draft until all party's were happy. Also had made a self inking stamp, this is to label the back of my new product "KimKards". Don't know what a KimKard is go to the dropdown menu and have a look.
Have enjoyed a good Christmas break with family in Airlie Beach, now back to work, printing printing and you guessed it printing. Have now got the printer sorted after much mucking around have produced some colour perfect prints (well I think so anyway). Wife not keen on lending me her cutting wheel so went out and bought my own (problem solved). Hope everyone had an excellent Christmas and a happy New Year. May even post an Airlie picture when I get around to it.
Had the honour of being asked to take the pictures for "Oliver" the Kununurra Amateur Theatre Society production. It was directed and produced by Fiona Kuiper the resident KATS guru. It was a fantastic show and a whole family affair had the pleasure of watching Jessie and Sheridan performing. Josh was on the lighting and Libuse was controlling all 28 of Fagan's kids in the wings. Stage lighting can be difficult to work with but they came out well. This is a test post with a little info to boot. Donating my time today to take pictures of Santa & kids, as a fundraiser for the KDHS year 9 and 10 students who are going to the Burma railway site for ANZAC day next year. Then, this afternoon taking some shots of the cast and crew of the local production of "Oliver".
